20170615 lopez brigada eskwela goes to khs anew 01

A huge throng of more than 100 volunteers representing the Lopez Group of Companies, composed of employees, family, friends, and relatives, went all-out once again to focus on the improvement of the surroundings of the Kapitolyo High School (KHS) n Pasig in the recently-concluded Lopez Brigada Eskwela held last June 3, 2017.

The hostilities started with the Invocation courtesy of Fr. Erwin Camacho, and was followed up by the recitation of the Lopez Credo & Values courtesy of Ms. Judy Atoy from Sky.

Lopez Group Foundation, Inc. (LGFI) Operations Head Ms. Angela Lopez-Guingona delivered the Welcome Remarks, while Prof. Cecil Ragala, the KHS Principal, gave a short introduction of the venue, as well as conveyed her heartfelt gratitude towards the organizers for this worthwhile undertaking, which also happened last year.

The birthday celebrants for the month of June were then recognized, as the traditional Stretching and Exercise portion went underway as selected students from KHS spearheaded the entire crowd in warming up.

In addition, Knowledge Channel and the Lopez Lifelong Wellness Team donated a television and a first aid cabinet to this beneficiary respectfully.

Before the activity proper began, a safety briefing ensued courtesy of Mr. Algie Obedencio from Energy Development Corporation’s Preparedness & Disaster Response Unit (EPDRU), and LGFI’s Caloy Campos provided short instructions regarding the said activity.

A total of around ten (10) classrooms were spruced up by the volunteers, as each member contributed in the cleaning and painting of the rooms, as well as electrical works too.

Happening simultaneously was the Disaster Risk Reduction Management seminar for the various heads, teachers, and students of KHS being conducted by Gerard Natividad of the EPDRU.

Knowing that loads of students and teachers during opening day would now have a more conducive learning environment would just be enough for a Kapamilya volunteer to smile upon.

Mabuhay ka!
