Miguel L. Lopez (MLL) and Benjamin R. Lopez (BRL) were recently elected as new directors of First Philippine Holdings Corporation (FPH) and Rockwell Land Corporation, respectively.

The FPH board on Oct. 1, 2020 elected MLL as a director of the corporation and as a member of the compensation and remuneration committee and the finance and investment committee.

MLL has been a director and treasurer of Rockwell Land Corporation since 2009. He was the senior vice president and general manager of Rockwell Integrated Property Services Inc. since 2012 until he started heading the office development business of Rockwell Land in June 2016.

MLL is also an executive vice president of Lopez Holdings Corporation as well as a director of Rockwell Leisure Club Inc. and Rockwell Center Association Inc. He is a member of the board of trustees of Eugenio Lopez Foundation Inc. and an advisor to Lopez Group Foundation Inc. He held several executive and management positions at Meralco from 2002 to 2010. Prior to this, he was with Maynilad Water Services Inc. as head of its Central Business Area.

A day earlier, on Sept. 30, 2020, the board of directors of Rockwell Land elected Benjamin R. Lopez (BRL) as director to fill the vacancy created by the resignation of Eugenio Lopez III. He was also elected as a member of the risk oversight committee.

BRL is currently a vice president of FPH, treasurer and senior executive vice president of Lopez Inc. and president of INAEC Aviation Corporation. In addition, he is a member of the board of directors of various Lopez Group subsidiaries.

He was connected with Rockwell Land from 1995 to 2004 when he held various posts in business development, sales and marketing and project development and was a member of the board of directors from 2006 to 2013.
