Weeks after the usual traditional holiday binging of Pinoys nationwide last December, a huge throng of well-wishers, amounting to more than 450 Lopez Group employees, family members, and friends, displayed their all-out love for Oscar M. Lopez’s walking advocacy by flocking the recently concluded “Walk The Talk” (WTT) event.
The WTT held at the La Mesa Nature Reserve in Quezon City last January 23, 2016 was sponsored by ABS-CBN, Sky, and Knowledge Channel.
Registration started at around 6:00 AM, as the number of participants continued to mushroom as time ticked by. With DJ Papi Charlz of MOR 101.9 performing the emceeing chores, the program proper began at 6:30 AM, starting with the Invocation from Jonathan Cruz of Sky and was followed by the singing of the National Anthem.
Sky's Bulak Acierto then led everyone in the Recitation of the Lopez Credo and Values.
Dimpy Jazmines of Sky and TJ Isla of ABS-CBN then took turns in delivering the Welcome Remarks, representing their respective institutions as sponsors of this monthly wellness undertaking.
Not be outdone was the recognition of several participants who celebrated their birthdays in the months of December last year and this January.
Before trudging the six-kilometer uneven trail, capping off the program were the traditional Stretching/Exercise portion from the Rockwell Team and the Safety Briefing courtesy of EDC's August Villalon.
After walking for around two hours, participants were treated to sumptuous packed meals served at the venue.
As the 10th Anniversary of the "Walk The Talk" draws near, we could only expect a lot of exciting things in store to all those who have been continuously supporting this project.
